New Construction

Are you in the market for a newly built home? Derek Tye is an experienced New Construction Expert and has represented many buyers building new homes. Derek also works with five builders and land developers directly in this area. We can also provide you a list of which builders are building in a specific part of town. Many of these homes are not on the MLS and are hard to find.

The new construction building process is complicated and takes many phases. Derek will help you in many ways including: picking a neighborhood, choosing a builder, choosing a floor plan, deciding which options to choose for resale later, picking the best lot, and more. If you are still unsure about using a Realtor to help you build a home we have included a few articles below.

The articles below are taken from the National Association of Home Builders Web site and can help you start the building process. Most customers are unaware that builders offer a predetermined commission to a Realtor and that commission does NOT get added to the purchase price. This commission is usually paid out of the builder's marketing budget and does not show up in the builder's cost of that home. Most all builders actually welcome a Realtor into the process for many reasons. When you go about starting to build, don't go at it without representation. You wouldn't enter into an important legal decision without a lawyer, why start the home building process without a Realtor?
